Missed or overdue visits
Participants who have not completed a scheduled study visit or follow-up activity.
ReEngage Research®
ReEngage Research helps sponsors, CROs, and investigative sites re-establish contact with participants and coordinate their return to protocol-permitted follow-up through a structured, site-authorized process.
From individual missed visits to multi-site long-term follow-up programs.
Supplement site outreach when participants miss visits or become difficult to reach.
Help sites arrange the appropriate protocol-permitted next step when contact is restored.
Provide study teams with visibility into contact attempts, outcomes, and case status.
The challenge
Missed follow-up can result from relocation, outdated contact information, illness, transportation barriers, competing life demands, or the duration and complexity of the study.
ReEngage can supplement site outreach when missed visits, extended follow-up requirements, or multi-site coordination create additional operational demands.
Where it applies
Participants who have not completed a scheduled study visit or follow-up activity.
Participants who are no longer responding through the site’s routine communication process.
Studies with extended safety, survival, or other protocol-defined follow-up obligations.
Programs requiring centralized visibility across participant re-engagement efforts.
How it works
Core works with the sponsor, CRO, and investigative site to understand the participant’s status, applicable protocol requirements, and approved communication methods.
The study team and Core establish a defined outreach plan, responsibilities, documentation requirements, and escalation pathways.
Authorized outreach is conducted through respectful, participant-centered communication methods, with each attempt and outcome documented.
When contact is restored, Core coordinates the appropriate next step with the investigative site and provides the study team with updated case status.
Program deliverables
ReEngage provides a defined operational framework for managing participant re-engagement efforts across individual sites or multi-site programs.
Beyond contact
Establishing contact is only the beginning. ReEngage reconnects the participant with the investigative site, helps coordinate the appropriate protocol-permitted follow-up activity, and gives the study team centralized visibility into each re-engagement effort.
When a study permits home-based follow-up, Core can coordinate with OnSite Nurses® to help reduce geographic, transportation, or mobility barriers.
Governance
Participant rights, privacy, and choice remain central to every ReEngage effort.
ReEngage operates within sponsor- and site-authorized processes and in accordance with the applicable protocol, informed-consent documentation, IRB/IEC approvals, and privacy and regulatory requirements.
Core does not independently change study procedures, make clinical decisions, or replace the investigative site’s responsibility for participant care and oversight.
Next step
If missed visits or long-term follow-up requirements are creating operational risk, talk with Core about a structured re-engagement approach for your study.
Have confidential study information to share? Core can execute an NDA before receiving your protocol, synopsis, or other confidential study materials.
